Student editor Katherine joins Simon to discuss his article "Persistent Discord: The Adjudication of National Security Deportation Cases in Canada (2018-2020)" about an empirical study of adjudicative (in)consistency when Canada moved to deport members of the Bangladesh National Party (BNP). Even when different judges reviewed nearly identical evidentiary packages, they frequently reached different conclusions as to whether the BNP used terror-based tactics.
