Abstract
Union grievance on behalf of all regular employees in Group 1 alleging breach of the Collective Agreement between the parties bearing the date July 31, 1992, and in particular of Articles 15, 17 and 39, clauses 39.03, .04 and 07, in that the Employer employed casual employees without first giving regular P.O.4's and P.O.5's the opportunity to work extended hours and/or overtime. The Union requested that the Grievors be compensated by granting them all lost rights, earnings and benefits they would have earned had they worked the additional hours and/or overtime in question, with interest. The Union also requested that the Employer be ordered to hire a sufficient number of regular employees to cover predictable absences and work loads.
