Abstract
The Grievor worked for the Employer as a casual part-time, a regular part-time, and as a regular Letter Carrier. He has had serious substance abuse problems and was frequently absent without leave. There are three grievances in which the Grievor states that the Employer disciplined and then discharged him without just, reasonable and sufficient cause. The Union takes the position that the Grievor was not properly discharged in accordance with the procedures required by the Collective Agreement and, even if discharged properly, has recovered from his addictions through treatment and ought to be reinstated.
