Abstract
The Grievor was sent home from work because he smelt of alcohol. He lost the wages for the full shift. The Employer says this was an administrative action for safety and not discipline. The Union stated that this was unjustified discipline because the policy was not posted and a Union representative was not present. Also, similar infractions had been handled differently.
