Abstract
The Grievor was denied special leave during the snowstorm of March 10 at Moncton, when 4.1 cm of snow fell and wind was 21.3 km/hour. The road on which she lives is subject to severe drifting. She testified that other cars had got stuck that night, and that the RCMP had warned her to stay off the roads. However, her supervisor testified that taxi service was available in her area. No other employees sought special leave at the time, though four reported sick.
