Abstract

Union grievance on behalf of the Grievor, alleging breach of the Collective Agreement between the parties bearing the date July 31, 1992, and in particular of Articles 21.01 and 44, in that he was not paid for marriage leave to which he was entitled. The Employer refused to pay that benefits on the basis that he did not have the status of "term employee, employed for three (3) months or more" under Article 44.04 of the Collective Agreement. The Union requested that the Employer be ordered to treat the Grievor as having that status and grant him full redress in the way of a 11 lost benefits.
