Abstract

The grievance arises out of concern for postal employees who rotate into the job of sorting monotainers in an area adjacent to the loading dock where safety footwear is required. The Union states that the Employer failed to require and provide protective footwear. The Employer argues that mailhandlers are not supposed to break down monotainers in the area where they are placed by city parcel workers.
