Abstract
The Grievor complains that he was improperly denied overtime. He carries out his duties in strict accordance with the rules; in consequence he frequently requires overtime to finish his route. Among the steps taken by the Grievor's manager to reduce the amount of overtime worked is assignment of casual employees to finish the Grievor's duties when he cannot do so within the prescribed time. It is the position of the Union that this work should not be done by casual employees because there is nothing in the Collective Agreement to allow it.
