Abstract

The grievance involves the Employer contracting out work normally, regularly and actually performed by motorized Mail Couriers. In order to meet customer service demands, the Employer used and paid for the services of Eastern Express Ltd. in St. John's to deliver priority courier mail. The Employer submits that this was not contracting in terms of the Collective Agreement and that it was not practicable to allocate overtime work to employees.
