Abstract
In this chapter, I will discuss the broad range of end of life law and policy. This includes the withholding and withdrawal of potentially life-sustaining treatment, palliative interventions, and what is now known in Canada as medical assistance in dying. I will explain what the law is, where it remains unclear, and where there is still considerable controversy about what the law should be.
