Abstract

The winners of the 2014 Atlantic Association of Universities teaching awards were asked to address the delegates to the teaching showcase, in a plenary session, on any topic they chose. This text reflects their thoughts on university teaching and the importance of the relationships on which university teaching thrives. The plenary session at the teaching showcase, and this text, is based on speeches given by the award winners at the fall meeting of Atlantic Association of Universities Council held in St. John’s, NL in September, 2014.
