Abstract
The phrase ‘mission impossible’ comes to mind when first confronted with
the title of the book. The author seeks to make the case for sustainable devel-
opment as a unifying principle to deal with the seemingly inevitable future
conflicts over climate change measures within the World Trade Organisation
(WTO) regime. In the process, the book introduces three complex topics:
sustainable development, climate change and global trade.
