Abstract

Union grievances on behalf of regular mail service couriers, alleging breach of the Collective Agreement between the parties bearing the date July 31. 1992, and in particular of Article 17-04, in that on August 16 and 17, 1993 the Employer bypassed some of them in the administration of additional hours and/or overtime while part-time term employees and a part-time Group 1 employee temporarily performing Group 2 duties delivered parcels on extended hours due to the absence of a regular mail service courier. The Union requested that those regular employees improperly denied extensions or overtime be granted full redress in the way of rights, earnings and benefits that they would have been paid had they worked the hours to which they were entitled on those dates.
