Abstract
The Union claims that all letter carriers were bypassed for overtime while a casual employee worked. The Union requests that the appropriate employees be compensated in the amounts they would have earned had they not been bypassed.
The grievance succeeds. The Employer may only use casual employees to replace short term letter carrier absences after all other employees have been offered the overtime work. The appropriate employees are to be compensated in the amounts they would have earned if they had not been bypassed.
