Abstract
The Grievor, unable to continue working as a full-time inside worker on the evening shift, went on medical leave. He applied to the Employer for transfer to a day shift position and received a letter stating that he would be considered as opportunities occurred. Subsequent to this a vacant letter carrier position was filled. The Union contends that the Grievor was entitled to the job under the Collective Agreement and that the Employer had a special duty to advise the Grievor of the posting.
