Abstract
The grievance alleges that the Employer made errors in complying with the transitional provisions of the new Collective Agreement which establishes a new regime of seniority rights among temporary employees. The Employer submits that, because the mistakes occurred in what was still a transition stage, the only appropriate remedy is reference back to further consultation at the National Level. They suggest that there is no basis in the Agreement for the award of damages in compensation for these missed hours.
